5 Ways to Have Fun This Fourth of July

May 27th 2021

We’ve worked pretty hard to make the best 4th of July to-do list ever! These may seem like a lot, but we promise you will knock them out faster than any “Honey-Do-List” with significantly more fun too!

Watermelon Floaty? Yes, Please!

At some point, your guests are going to want a little break from the sun and fun and they’ll likely want to go horizontal. Why not give them a fun option like a watermelon floaty even sans the pool? Resting their eyes, they’ll casually lay in the sun with their cool shades and enjoy the comfort of the blow-up watermelon atop your highly admired, freshly cut grass. If you have a pool, well then, we don’t have to tell you why you need it.

Skewers for Every Meal

Whether it’s vegetable kabobs or fruit kabobs or some other kind of kabob, skewers are the food presentation that makes gatherings even more hands-on! And they are fun for every meal from chicken at dinner to french toast at breakfast.

Remember the Sunscreen

There’s always an Aunt So-and-So who shows up to the holiday bbq with a pop in one hand and a story in the other. She’s also the one that ends up firecracker red by the end of the day with a sunburn. Remember to lather on early and often throughout the day. If you are hosting, be the super thoughtful host and set out a basket of sunscreen and bug spray for your guests.

A Round of PopsiclesWe are fairly certain that the answer to every question during the summer can be answered with a popsicle. Little Tommy fell off of his bicycle and is in tears? Pull out a popsicle. Sweltering heat in the middle of the week? Open up a popsicle. Awkward family conversation at the lake? Who wants a popsicle?

If you are really wanting to step up your popsicle game, try making your own in those long, skinny molds or be the “hostess with the mostess” and have popsicle sleeves for your guests.

Extra, Extra Fun Game

While it won’t be the only thing people remember from your event, yard games can definitely be the activity that brings people together. A little competition never hurts either, right? Check out fun ladder toss games, customizable corn hole games, or even giant four-in-a-row games that will be fun and simple enough for all ages.

However you’re celebrating this year, we sure hope it’s full of laughter and moments you’ll never forget.

Oh, and if you need us to sneak into your house and add some new furniture before all your guests’ walkthrough to the back yard, we are on it. Or we can also just leave you with our online shopping tool, also known as our website.

Happy celebrating twice as big this year!
